Announcing Anna Tombazzi as Chief Technology Officer

In the defense world, there is often a massive chasm between the scientists who understand the chemistry of energetics and the engineers who build the vehicles that use them. Today, we are closing that gap.

We are thrilled to announce that Anna Tombazzi has joined Supply Energetics as our Chief Technology Officer.

Anna isn’t just an engineering leader; she is a "multi-tool" specialist whose career has spanned the most demanding frontiers of modern technology: from the molecular precision of analytical chemistry to the extreme physics of hypersonics and nuclear fusion.

From Molecular Foundations to Mach 5+

Anna’s journey began where all great energetics must: in the lab. With a foundation in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry, she started her career as an Analytical Chemist at J.M. Smucker, mastering the precise equipment (GC-MS, HPLC) required to understand complex substances.

But her ambitions were always "up and out." She transitioned into aerospace, spending years at The Spaceship Company and Stratolaunch, where she led propulsion test engineering and systems design for the next generation of aerospace vehicles.

Most recently, at Cambium, Anna served as a Lead Hypersonics Engineer and a key leader in the CEO’s office. She didn't just build systems; she managed the strategic intersection of technology and national security—exactly the intersection where Supply Energetics lives.

Why This Matters for Supply Energetics

Supply Energetics is on a mission to modernize the "Arsenal of Democracy" by making the production of high-purity cellulose and nitrocellulose modular, domestic, and fast. To do that, we need a CTO who understands:

  1. The Chemistry: You can't produce MIL-DTL-244C nitrocellulose without a deep, fundamental understanding of chemical purity. Anna’s background as a chemist ensures our "Factory in a Box" (MECM) units deliver the highest-spec material every time.
  2. The Physics: Our customers are building the next generation of missiles and hypersonic gliders. Anna understands exactly how the propellant needs to perform when it leaves the tube or the rail.
  3. The Strategy: Having spent years in the CEO's office and working as a Hypersonics SME, Anna knows how to align complex R&D with the urgent timelines of the DoD.

Under Anna’s leadership, Supply Energetics will push further. We aren't just building chemical plants; we are building intelligent systems that can be deployed anywhere in the world and managed with the precision of a high-tech aerospace vehicle. Please join us in welcoming Anna to the team. The future of energetics is here, and it’s moving at hypersonic speeds.
